End-of-Life System Decommissioning Services: Our construction teams safely decommissioned and recycled ~15,000 modules along with inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, and other balance of system items in 2025. While this activity is counter to our main motivation to revitalize and repower solar systems, we recognise that decommissioning is inevitable in the solar system lifecycle. We take great pride in responsibly and cost effectively decommissioning systems by offering turnkey services with experienced construction managers taking care of every project detail through to the completion of the project.
Antelope Valley High School Inverter Repower: Replaced a failed 500kW central inverter with new string inverters and optimizers, mounted to the carport array structures. This design method allowed for the use of the existing underground conduit from the carports to the equipment pad to eliminate the need for any parking lot excavation. New electrical and structural engineering plans were generated for California DSA submission and approval prior to construction. Full scope project management and construction management services were provided along with equipment purchases and DSA and AHJ approvals.
Warranty Module Replacement and Inverter Repowers at the Denver Public Schools: Replaced all existing modules with OEM provided warranty modules, redesigned each system to have new string lengths, installed code-compliant rapid shut down devices, updated the array layout to adhere to relevant setback and access requirements on the roofs, replaced failing inverters with modern string inverters for improved production reliability and updated each site’s DAS system for upgraded communications.
